Black Stardust Caridina
The Black Stardust Caridina is a striking shrimp known for its deep black base color with scattered “stardust” spotting and a fishbone pattern along the tail. As they mature, the contrast between the dark body and lighter speckling becomes more pronounced, giving them that galaxy-like appearance.
These will be low to mid grade stardust, so pattern and coverage will vary.
What I usually look for in higher quality stardust is a deep black base with lots of smaller, fine spots across the head and body, along with a cleaner fishbone tail pattern ( similar to the first picture). This is the opposite of boas, where larger colored spots are usually preferred.
