QT Shrimp – Terms of Use & Sales Policy

1. General

By purchasing from QT Shrimp, you agree to all terms outlined below. These terms are designed to ensure clarity, fairness, and the health and safety of all livestock.

2. Shipping Policy & Live Arrival Guarantee (DOA)

All shrimp are carefully packed to ensure safe arrival. Orders are typically shipped Monday–Tuesday to avoid weekend delays. If you would like your order shipped on a specific date, please contact me in advance.

Shrimp are packed in insulated packaging with breather bags. Heat packs are not used due to the risks they can create during shipping. Since I am located in Texas, ice packs may be included when needed to prevent overheating.

Caridina Shipping Requirement

Caridina shrimp must be shipped via UPS 2-Day or 1-Day/Overnight.
If a slower shipping method is selected, the DOA policy will be void.

DOA Coverage

  • DOA claims must be submitted within 1 hour of delivery

  • Provide clear photos/videos of shrimp in the unopened bag next to the shipping label 🦐
     

For listings with a “+” (example: 10+2), extra shrimp are included to help cover possible DOA during shipping.

If DOA exceeds the extras provided, buyers can choose:

  • Replacement shipment (buyer covers shipping), or

  • Refund for lost shrimp (excluding shipping costs)
     

DOA Policy is Voided If:

  • Shipment is altered or redirected during transit

  • Incorrect shipping method is selected

  • Photos/videos are not provided within the required timeframe

  • Shrimp are removed from the bag before documentation
     

Carrier Disclaimer

QT Shrimp is not responsible for carrier delays or mishaps, including:

  • Delayed deliveries (e.g., 2-Day taking longer than expected)

  • Lost packages

  • Modified shipping during transit
     

3. Water Parameters & Acclimation

Shrimp are highly sensitive to parameter changes.

  • Buyers are responsible for ensuring proper tank conditions prior to arrival

  • Drip acclimation is strongly recommended
     

Once shrimp are removed from the shipping bag and introduced into your tank:

  • DOA coverage ends

  • No refunds or replacements will be provided
     

QT Shrimp is not responsible for losses caused by:

  • Improper acclimation

  • Incompatible water parameters

  • Unstable tank conditions
     

4. WYSIWYG vs Colony Listings

WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get)

You will receive the exact shrimp shown in the listing.
 

Colony Listings

Photos are representative of the shrimp line. Shrimp may vary in:

  • Pattern

  • Coloration

  • Size
     

7. Liability Disclaimer

QT Shrimp is not responsible for:

  • Carrier delays, damages, or lost packages

  • Weather-related shipping risks

  • Buyer tank conditions or setup

  • Losses after shrimp are introduced into your aquarium

All livestock sales are final once delivered and opened.
 

8. Payment & Agreement

By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you:

  • Have read and agreed to these terms

  • Understand the risks of shipping live animals

  • Accept all policies regarding DOA, shipping, and care
